Jam with The Band June – The Family Band

All are welcome to attend the concert and jam session. Musicians who play bluegrass music are encouraged to bring their instruments to join in and jam with the band after the concert. Our host for the evening and leading this Jam Session is Bill Fahy.

“The Family Band” is a group of three brothers, who enjoy, playing and singing music together. Their love of music came from their mother and father, who had a round and square dance band, and encouraged them to participate, as a family, fifty years ago, at Sunday jamborees around northern and central New York.
Charlie Ingersoll (vocals and Debro) has performed with several bluegrass groups. He has a strong voice for both lead and harmony vocals and leads the band.
George Seymour (Vocals, Bass, and Mandolin) Carries the rhythm for the band, as well as, much of the harmonies.
“The Family Band” performs gospel, country, and folk music in a bluegrass/acoustic style, with 2 and 3-part, brother-style harmony. They also perform original, cover tunes, and instrumentals and back up their singing with live music.
