She is a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art. After graduation\, she worked as an instructor at Painting With A Twist\, teaching people how to paint with acrylics. She also worked with Painting With A Twist Corporate as a design artist to create new art for all the franchises nationally. DESCRIPTION:“Capturing Stillness” is a free\, open-call\, non-juried\, salon-style group art exhibition that brings together a diverse group of artists exploring the timeless genre of still life through contemporary perspectives. Each work transforms ordinary objects—fruit\, flowers\, vessels\, and found materials—into meditations on light\, texture\, and meaning. \nThe exhibition celebrates the art of observation\, in which the familiar becomes extraordinary through the artist’s gaze. Through painting\, photography\, sculpture\, and mixed media\, the participating artists invite viewers to pause and rediscover beauty in the overlooked details of daily life\, capturing the stillness that speaks volumes. \nArt will be accepted on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nTo be included in the exhibition\, artwork MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY to executivedirector@romeart.org by Friday\, December 5\, 2025. \nDue to a priority on diversity of artists\, please limit artwork to 3 pieces. \nPlease submit all work in JPG format\, labeled with the title of the piece and dimensions\, including the frame. For example: Ghostlylandscape22x36.jpg. Please reduce file sizes to a maximum of 2.5MB per photo. \nAll works must be ready for hanging/display at the time of delivery. (i.e.\, wired adequately for hanging\, clean\, etc.) Wall art must be appropriately framed or be ready for presentation if it is not already framed. Wires should not extend beyond the top of the frame as they cannot be shown during the exhibition\, no clip frames. \nArtwork must be delivered or mailed; late work will not be accepted. Work may be offered during business hours the week of. Be prepared to provide information about your work to complete a Loan Agreement at the time of delivery. The required information includes the artist’s name\, address\, phone number\, title\, year\, medium\, dimensions (including the frame)\, and price. Please use a removable sticker or a Post-it note to label your work on the front\, so it will be easy for us to identify when hanging your labels. RACC will retain a 30% commission on artwork sold during the exhibition. In 2020\, Kevin was awarded a\ngrant from George Mason University’s Young Artist Commissioning Project\, and consequently recorded\nhis debut album of traditional ballads\, If I Were A Small Bird\, released in September 2021. Most recently\nKevin was honored to be selected as one of six Artists in Residence at Strathmore Music Hall in\nBethesda\, MD for the 2023 season.\nKevin enjoys a busy performance schedule in the U.S. and abroad\, appearing at many of the top Irish\nand Scottish festivals\, venues and concert series as a soloist\, alongside Scottish National Fiddle\nChampion Sean Heely\, and with many other groups. \nTim Ball is an accomplished American fiddler\, singer\, and guitarist whose playing is deeply rooted in the\nrich traditions of Ireland\, New England\, Canada\, and Appalachia\, tied together by the distinct musical\nheritage of his native upstate New York. With over two decades of experience performing in Celtic and\ncontra dance ensembles\, Tim has built a reputation for his expressive style and deep musical knowledge.\nHis latest album\, Upstate Crossroads\, marked a major milestone in his career\, earning the No. 1 spot on\nthe January 2023 Folk Alliance International music chart.\nTim is well-known to upstate New York audiences as the guitarist for the acclaimed Celtic trio Arise &\nGo\, appears frequently with Pennsylvania-based Irish band Poor Man’s Gambit\, and has performed with\npopular Renaissance festival acts Empty Hats and Cantiga. Donations accepted to benefit the artist. \nBiography:\nMs. Taylor graduated this past May with a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo\, where she majored in math and music. She is a Rome native and member of the RFA class of 2021. Mariah Taylor recently returned from a five-week intensive opera program in Villefranche De Rouergue\, France\, where she sang and acted in the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet\, and performed in local recitals and concerts. She noted\, “my experience in France solidified my love for opera music and my intent to pursue music professionally. I’m so excited to continue this journey and especially to share my upcoming performance\, as I plan the next steps in my singing career!”
