DESCRIPTION:Centered on Photography is a free open-call\, non-juried\, salon-style group photography exhibition. The exhibition accepts photographic images in a variety of printed formats. Photographs may be digital\, film\, black and white\, color\, and manipulated photographic images. The exhibition is inspired by Dorothea Lange’s quote\, “A camera teaches you how to see without a camera.” Local and regional artists are invited to participate.\nArt will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. In order to be included in the exhibition artwork MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY to executivedirector@romeart.org by Friday\, June 14. Due to a priority on diversity of artists\, please limit artwork to 6 pieces. Please submit all work with in jpg format labeled with title of piece and dimensions including frame. For example: Ghostlylandscape22x36.jpg Please reduce file sizes to a maximum of 2.5MB per photo.\nAll works must be ready for hanging/ display at the time of delivery. (i.e. properly wired for hanging\, clean\, etc.) Wall art must be properly framed or ready for presentation if not framed. Wires should not extend beyond top of frame as they cannot show during exhibition\, no clip frames.\nArtwork must be delivered and mailed or late work will not be accepted. Work may be delivered during business hours the week of July 1 – 5 (closed July 4). Be prepared with information about your work to fill out a Loan Agreement at time of delivery. The information required includes artist name\, address\, phone\, title\, year\, media\, dimensions (including frame)\, and price. Please use a removable sticker or post-it note to label your work on the front\, so it will be easy for us to identify when hanging your labels. RACC will retain a 30% commission on artwork sold during the exhibition. There be Kings\, Queens\, Princes\, Princesses\, Lords\, Ladies and Knights of the Realm rubbing shoulders with Pirates\, Privateers\, Wenches\, Gypies and Rogues to gather together on the lands for a grand time with the cream and the dregs o’ the crew. Avast! There will be regal entertainment by performers of greatness\, with grand feasting\, drinking\, and much merriment to be had by all.Listen for the call of the bagpipes to announce the opening of the grand marketplace where wares of all sorts can be found. Visit the Medieval Meadow to cheer on the steadfast Knights in combat. Feast on specialty food from local chefs and brew\, wine and mead from the 16 Stone Beer Brigantine. Minstrels and bards\, singing pirates and dancers all there for your enjoyment.
