MVBGA January Jam with the Band featuring The Family Band

Join us on Monday, January 12th at the Rome Art and Community Center for the Mohawk Valley Bluegrass Association January Jam with the Band featuring “The Family Band”.
“The Family Band” performs gospel, country, and folk music, in a bluegrass/acoustic style, with 2&3 part, brother-style harmony. They also perform originals, cover tunes, instrumentals
and back-up their singing with live music.

The concert will start at 6:30 PM followed by a jam session where anyone can join in, so bring your instruments!
$5 Donation at the door, Drinks available for a donation.
Biography:
“The Family Band” is a group of three brothers, who enjoy, playing & singing music together. Their love of music came from their mother & father, who had a round and square dance band, and encouraged them to participate, as a family, fifty years ago, at Sunday Jamborees around Northern & Central New York.

Charlie Ingersoll (Vocals & Dobro) has performed with several bluegrass groups. He has a strong voice for both lead & harmony vocals and leads the band.
George Seymour (Vocals & Guitar) has written many great gospel songs and also has a strong presence as a singer and guitarist.
Rodney Ingersoll (Vocals, Bass, & Mandolin) carries the rhythm for the band, as well as, much of the harmonies.
